How You’ll Add Value…

Our specific consumable and instrument customers store and analyze chemical compounds and biological samples to enable them to develop a better understanding of disease processes and help develop new treatments for the future. To aid this research, we sell specialized storage and tracking products, PCR consumables and sealing solutions.  We offer a very comprehensive range of 2D coded tubes, bar code readers, PCR consumables, sample storage products and instruments.

We have opportunities for energetic, self-reliant individuals who can translate innovative solutions into sales.  Ideal candidates will have a successful track record in territory development and demonstrated sales results. You will have the benefit of working with and learning from a team of individuals with in-depth product knowledge and expertise.  This Account Manager position is an ideal opportunity for individuals who demonstrate the ability to effectively manage work independently and have the ability to travel (up to 50%).

What You’ll Do…

Managing and developing accounts within your specified territory

  • Conducting presentations to customers

  • Handling complex sales opportunities on a direct basis

  • Working with other Azenta product line representatives to sell the full Azenta solution

  • Working independently to develop new leads and opportunities

  • Supporting distributor representatives

  • Acting as a resource to customers and distributor representatives for product and company knowledge

What you will Bring…

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Biology or Life Sciences preferred) 

  • 5 Years relevant experience in account management selling Consumables and Instruments to various stakeholders in a lab environment in a designated region/ territory (Houston, TX preferred)

  • Proven track record in meeting/ exceeding sales goals

  • Experience with and knowledge of the sample storage and/or molecular biology market is desirable. 

  • Demonstrates keen business acumen, sound decision making, analytical and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment; a consultative approach to managing client relationships 

  • Confident communication (written and oral) skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders of internal and external organizations 

  • Must have valid driver’s license 

Working Conditions/ Schedule

  • Home office based (TX) with occasional work onsite

  • Occasional travel (less than 50%)

  • Compensation will include incentive target plus car allowance and phone stipend. Full benefits package plus 401k with corporate match.
