This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • 20 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 8AM to 12PM PST
  • The work schedule may change (and negotiated) since the client often travels

Job Description

As a Social Media Assistant, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping the digital narrative for this vibrant event agency. You’ll have the exciting opportunity to create engaging reels, that showcase the company’s work to a global audience. Using your creativity and strategic thinking, you’ll develop content calendars, craft compelling captions, and manage multiple social media platforms. This role offers a unique blend of creativity and analytics, allowing you to express your artistic side while driving measurable results for a growing business in the dynamic event industry.

Responsibilities
  • Create and schedule captivating reels, using provided materials
  • Develop and maintain a strategic content calendar with AI-optimized captions
  • Manage and grow the company’s presence on Instagram and Facebook, with potential expansion to LinkedIn and TikTok
  • Engage with the community by responding to direct messages and comments
  • Utilize AI tools to optimize captions and enhance content creation
  • Implement effective tagging and hashtag strategies to increase reach
  • Monitor social media trends and provide performance reports to guide strategy
  • Collaborate with the team to align social media efforts with overall business goals
Requirements
  • Experience in social media management, preferably in the events or related industry
  • Proficiency in social media scheduling tools (e.g., Planoly, Hootsuite)
  • Familiarity with creating reels (e.g., Videoleap)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including understanding of current slang and cultural nuances
  • Creative mindset with an eye for visually appealing content
  • Ability to work flexibly across different time zones
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills
  • Analytical skills to interpret social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices
