Role Summary
The Chief Commercial Officer will lead the growth and execution of Radial’s sales, marketing and account management organizations, fueling Radial’s revenue growth as it continues to grow. The Chief Commercial Officer will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales and renewal targets, with responsibility for all new business, account expansion and client management. This executive will collaborate with senior leadership in determining and driving the development and execution of the commercial strategy for the company. Will evolve Radial’s commercial infrastructure, driving the go-to market strategy of Radial’s products to achieve market share growth and other commercial and marketing objectives.
The Chief Commercial Officer will be passionate about helping Radial’s businesses grow better by identifying and implementing innovative solutions to generate revenue growth. He/She will be a member of the executive leadership team reporting to the CEO and will partner with the team to set a strategic vision for the commercial organization. As a natural leader with strong communication and outstanding people management skills, the CCO will be a strong internal and external ambassador for the business and will be effective in building and leading a collaborative team. This leader will be passionate about driving significant growth, self-starting, dynamic and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the executive leadership team and key internal stakeholders to align the commercial team to the company’s strategic vision, maximize Radial’s commercial footprint regionally, and drive performance.
- Continually evolve the account management strategy at Radial to be one of a proactive strategic partner to our clients.
- Lead the commercial functions and ensure a balance between strategic activities with those that support near-term revenue generation.
- Inspire, lead, and enable the commercial team to exceed all goals and expectations established by the leadership team.
- Develop, refine and execute a go-to-market strategy by analyzing the current state, assessing Radial’s opportunities to improve, and innovate to ensure predictable, repeatable and scalable results that drive revenue growth and increase profitability.
- Communicate sales go-to-market strategy, implement key performance indicators, and hold the team accountable for results.
- Consistently lead the team to exceed their quota and generate new business by upselling existing clients and acquiring new ones.
- Ensure account plans are documented and followed across Radial’s client base.
- Ensure the right team, strategy, approach and capabilities are in place to maximize commercial footprint on a global basis.
- Plan, develop, and implement effective sales strategies and policies.
- Plan and manage the budget and expenditures of the Commercial department.
- Lead negotiations and escalations with key clients and partners.
- Ensures that Radial continually identifies changes in the marketing environment or competitive strategies and evaluates, adjusts, or redrafts the organization’s marketing plan and philosophy accordingly.
- Lead an account management team that creates clear lines of accountability across the organization and holds the organization accountable to client commitments.
- Display and practice a visible, open and motivated leadership style throughout the organization, ensuring that the team fulfills commitments required to lead the company through its next growth phase.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, mutual respect, accountability and high performance.
- Define a clear, compelling plan and effectively prioritize.
- Understands market dynamics and client profiles, including strategies of competitors, and leverages this knowledge to hone innovative and highly successful sales and account strategies.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of successful experience in e-commerce or omnichannel solutions, plus 10+ years in a senior leadership and management position.
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategies of a 3PL with proven ability to build and lead all facets of a commercial function with innovative go-to-market models.
- Proven success with building and leading commercial operations and success with launching new products to market.
- Strong Business Developer
- Evidence of leading an organization through rapid growth.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, including negotiating and relationship management skills with the ability to drive the achievement of objectives.
- Building Leadership: Strong track record of business leadership.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrate experience leading and motivating sales teams across North America to successfully deliver the highest client satisfaction while delivering their sales targets.
- Results Orientation: Focused on creating new sources of growth for the business.
- Customer Focused: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required. MBA or related master ’s-level degree is strongly preferred.

- This position is remote.
- 30% + Travel required.
