MORI Associates is in search of an experienced Human Capital Generalist who will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise. Candidate will assist in providing a wide range of Human Capital support, advice and activities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the success of the organization by offering support in recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations and Human Capital best practices while fostering a positive relationship between personnel and senior management.
What you will do:
  • Provide overall assistance in administering various human capital plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; preparation and maintenance of the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.
  • Provide assistance, participate and present new hire orientation and onboarding assistance to new hires
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Assist in administering the compensation program; provide assistance to the Human Capital Manager in the performance evaluation program and revisions as necessary.
  • Provide back up benefits administration, including assistance to employees with claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefits information to employees.
  • Provide assistance to affirmative action program; file EEO-1 report annually; and maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Provide assistance to Assistant Human Capital Manager to complete OSHA records annually.
  • Provide support to work with external vendors to complete annual ACA reporting.
  • Provide support to the Human Capital Manager and Assistant Human Capital Manager to handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Maintain company organization charts and the employee directory.
  • Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintain human capital information system records both electronically and physical files and compile reports from the database.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Provide overall support to the Human Capital Department
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline
  • 10+ years’ experience in Human Capital
  • Strong Expertise in HC policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of hiring and onboarding processes including orientation presentation
  • Understanding of HC best practices and current regulations
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite
  • Experience with various HRIS Systems and payroll systems, preferably UKG
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with various state and federal laws. Of particular interest is experience with California law.
Additional information:
  • Experience working in a government contracting environment is a plus
  • Will be a hybrid in office and work from home role located in Houston, Texas
  • Travel to conferences or employee worksites on occasion could be expected possibly 25%.

Salary Range is $70K to $80K
