Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Database Marketing Manager to head our database and Business Intelligence (BI) team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the management and enhancement of our central database, ensuring effective data integration across various business functions. This position offers a remarkable opportunity to contribute to our dedication to providing outstanding customer experiences through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of database and Business Intelligence developers.
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive data management strategy to enhance data collection, storage, and application throughout the organization.
  • Supervise the architecture, development, and deployment of a central database that consolidates data from multiple sources.
  • Facilitate seamless data integration across all business functions by merging diverse data systems.
  • Implement ETL processes to ensure data quality and uniformity.
  • Create and manage business intelligence tools and dashboards that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Establish and uphold data governance policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor database performance and devise optimization strategies for effective data retrieval and processing.
  • Collaborate closely with the CTO, business leaders, IT professionals, and key stakeholders to discern data requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business priorities.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data management technologies and trends, assessing and proposing new tools to augment data capabilities.

Required Skills

  • Robust background in data management with proven expertise in developing and maintaining a central database, such as a Customer Data Platform (CDP).
  • Strong marketing automation experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to integrate data across diverse business sectors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of experience in data management.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity, directing team performance.

Compensation And Benefits

  • This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday.
  • Remote work with quarterly travel to our corporate office in Dallas, TX (approximately four trips per year, at employee’s expense).
  • Competitive salary in the range of \(170,000 to \)180,000.
  • Flexible working hours to support a balanced work-life integration.
  • Manage a team of fewer than 10 direct reports.
