We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team! 

 

Phreesia is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure to be an integral part of our team. A Senior DevOps Engineer manages our internal tooling, configures and provisions server architecture and strives to improve the way the Phreesia Engineering team releases their newest features and products. The Senior DevOps Engineer will engage in every phase of the Phreesia product deployment process to enable development teams to build and deploy their changes to test and production environments alike. You will participate in both building continuous deployment pipelines and automate the release processes. Reporting to the DevOps Manager, Infrastructure 

 

This position requires: a technical, detail oriented, organized individual to support our mission to release and verify Phreesia software in production environments on a regular basis and maintain the stability, reliability, and performance of our services that Phreesia customers have come to expect. 

 

What You'll Do: 

 

A Senior DevOps Engineer duty can be diverse and comprehensive. They generally perform the following tasks with some regularity: 

 

  • Build and enhance our internal tooling 

  • Strong analytical skills and flexible to work on any technology 

  • Facilitate deployments to development/test and staging environments. 

  • You will review and track deployment release scope while coordinating with development and datacenter teams alike to both manage expectations and effectively deliver products.  

  • Drive innovation and streamline overall development pipeline processes.  

  • Learn the basics of the US Healthcare system and how customers use our products. 

  • Identify, triage, help resolve or escalate deployment issues in production environment. 

 

What You'll Bring: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 

  • Minimum 5 years of total work experience  

  • Proven skills to understand Microsoft.Net, C# or similar OO oriented frameworks and solutions  

  • Basic principles of distributed messaging mechanism management (MSMQ, RabbitMQ) 

  • Understanding of progress tracking, performance monitoring and deployment tools (Octopus, JIRA/, Bamboo, Jenkins, Ansible, Gitlab, Bitbucket, Chef) 

  • Experience with any scripting languages like Shell/PowerShell/Python 

  • Experience with IAC tools like Terraform 

  • Knowledge and skills in Docker / Kubernetes development and maintenance 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and solve problems across a variety of teams across the organization.  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  

  • Problem-solving, reasoning and logic, and practical skills.
