About The Role
The Financial Systems team enjoys the fast-paced environment, interacting continuously with cross-functional teams while managing the underlying key infrastructure systems and processes that help Houzz scale and deliver on its business strategy.
As a Financial Systems Analyst for Houzz, you will be responsible for working closely with the Finance / Accounting teams to own finance systems, develop new business processes, and provide day-to-day system configuration and process partnership to the Finance / Accounting team members.
Your excellent communication and problem-solving skills will be key to your success in this role. Additionally, your demonstrated business and technical acumen, and your ability to manage appropriate business documentation, requirement gathering, system configurations, and day-to-day interactions with cross-functional stakeholders will be highly valued.
What You’ll Do
- Develop new business processes by closely coordinating with the finance, accounting, and engineering teams
- Plan, review and support process and systems change configurations and customization requests
- Develop and maintain proper system access for all roles across different financial systems
- Support end-user day-to-day requests for new searches, reports, KPI’s, and dashboards
- Support, triage, and resolve day-to-day financial business process, system and integration issues
- Create, document, and manage customizations, workflows, custom objects, new functionality and SuiteApps based on evolving business needs
- Develop, test and deploy custom application extensions using system API and 3rd party tools
- Perform user acceptance testing of Finance / Accounting requirements
- Run business process testing for ongoing financial systems upgrades
At a Minimum, We’d Like You to Have
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or Engineering (with Master degree highly preferred)
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting NetSuite
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting financial systems such as ADP, BlackLine, PBCS/Anaplan/Adaptive, Zuora, Concur, or equivalent is highly preferred
- Strong Knowledge of Accounting Concepts and Principles
- Experience leading Finance/Accounting process improvement initiatives and developing ERP customizations or SaaS applications
- Experience integrating custom or 3rd party applications with NetSuite/Other ERPs
- Experience implementing and supporting ITGC controls and processes in a FinSys environment
- Ability to gather, interpret and apply critical thinking to data to help inform decisions
- Attention to detail with the ability to effectively document business processes, systems and workflows
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, customer service, and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to summarize and present findings or challenges to all levels of staff and management
- Ability to work independently and with a team
Compensation, Benefits And Perks
This role has an annual starting salary range of
$95,000 - $130,000. In addition to salary, you’re eligible for competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Houzz. Also, depending on the role, you could be eligible for an equity award. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including, but not limited to, skills, experience, and specific work location.
