Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Deployment Manager to lead the deployment and maintenance of our software systems across multiple environments. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our software solutions, overseeing system moves, disaster recovery, external server access, and SSL certificate renewals. This position demands a proactive approach and in-depth technical expertise to support our clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client software installations and configurations using tools like InstallShield to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain and configure cloud infrastructure (e.g., CloudHub) to support our software solutions.
- Handle system moves and oversee disaster recovery processes, ensuring business continuity.
- Oversee external server access, DNS management, and load balancer configurations for efficient operations.
- Administer SSL certificates (GlobalSign), managing renewal schedules and compliance.
- Coordinate software updates, configurations, and deployments in production and disaster recovery environments.
- Provide post-deployment support, actively monitoring system health and performance.
- Manage notifications related to disaster recovery and operational monitoring to mitigate risks.
Key Skill Sets
- Proficiency in Linux and Postgres/SQL, with a solid understanding of database management.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and software deployment technologies.
- Experience managing SSL certificates, DNS, and load balancing solutions.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures within the energy sector.
- Preferred: Experience managing certificate renewals and configurations across various ISO markets (CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, MISO, ISONE).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software deployment, preferably within the energy sector.
- Strong background in system administration and cloud platforms.
- Proactive in monitoring and implementing necessary updates to maintain system reliability.
