Are you an experienced HR professional in the London hotel market, who loves being hands-on and playing a key role in the opening of our first apartment-hotel in London? Then this is the opportunity for you!
The July is looking for a HR Manager for the pre-opening and day-to-day HR operations for our newest addition: a premium apartment-hotel and restaurant in the heart of London, Victoria scheduled to open in June 2025. The location will be a sustainable city oasis with 114 rooms for all types of travellers, plus two residential apartments. A restaurant, bar, and deli will serve neighbours and guests, keeping our spaces vibrant around the clock.
The July is where great stories begin…
The July is a premium hospitality brand that’s bringing the human touch to the way people travel. We are a group of apartment-hotels driven by delivering the best experience the world has ever seen, for guests staying one night or one year.
From Amsterdam to the world! Together with our shareholders APG and Aware Super, we are implementing our strategy of international growth as owner-operator. Our teams have the ambitious goal to develop multiple new apartment-hotels across prime European cities like London, Dublin, Paris, Lisbon and Barcelona. Each location has the local stories and spirit interwoven throughout the apartment-hotel’s distinctive design.
We are an organisation that puts people first, always striving to improve and genuinely caring for eachother and our guests. Every day, we aim to make a positive impact. We foster an environment where you can be yourself, embrace unique differences, and celebrate successes together.
The job
As our HR Manager, you'll be hands-on with all aspects of HR operations across our newest hotel in London. You will drive engagement by fostering a positive and stimulating work environment where every team member feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
You will manage everything from the pre-opening from talent acquisition, recruitment and onboarding to HR business partnering and training & development. You’ll work closely with the hotel management team to attract top talent and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new joiners. You will also handle day-to-day HR activities such as managing absence cases, employee relations, focus on wellbeing and happiness, training and development, performance management, support payroll processing, benefits administration, and manage employee records, while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
You will report to our HR Director, who is based in the HQ in Amsterdam. In addition, you will regularly discuss the daily HR operations with the General Manager.
With our exciting plans to open more apartment hotels, including in London, you’ll have the opportunity to help build our teams and have the opportunity to develop yourself and grow within our company.
If you love being hands-on, thrive in a dynamic environment, and are passionate about people and making a positive impact, we want you on our team! Join the July and enjoy the journey with us!
