Job description

As the People Operations Manager, you sit at the intersection of HR, operations, and strategic workforce development. Your primary goal is to establish a seamless, well-functioning environment where every employee can perform at their best, contribute to the company’s success, and feel fulfilled in their role.

We’re seeking a People Operations Manager, not just an HR professional, for a reason. This role demands a comprehensive approach—balancing the logistics of recruiting and onboarding, creating effective training programs, and developing clear policies that guide day-to-day operations. You'll ensure that the right people are in the right roles, and that they have the tools, career paths, and supportive culture needed to thrive.

By harmonizing HR processes with operational efficiency, you will foster a highly motivated, productive workforce that is both compliant with legal standards and aligned with the company's long-term objectives. Your focus will always be on enabling others to perform at their peak while maintaining a positive, engaged workplace.

You will be responsible for creating and managing the policies, procedures, and systems that ensure smooth operations within the organization. You will oversee staff administration, onboarding, and employee career planning, while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. You will also play a critical role in shaping the culture and career development opportunities that motivate our workforce.

What you’ll do:

  • Policy Development: Create, implement, and maintain comprehensive organizational policies that ensure consistency and clarity across all departments. These policies will serve as the foundation for a streamlined and efficient work environment, enabling everyone to perform at their best.
  • Staff Administration: Oversee employee records and administrative processes, ensuring that they are consistently updated and compliant with legal and regulatory standards. You will ensure operational efficiency by maintaining an organized and legally sound approach to HR management.
  • Onboarding: Design and manage a seamless onboarding process that fully equips new hires with the knowledge, tools, and cultural understanding to contribute effectively from day one. This will include structured training programs and the necessary support to ensure they integrate smoothly into the company.
  • Employee Career Development: Develop and implement clear career development plans to motivate employees and offer them opportunities for personal and professional growth. You will focus on nurturing a highly engaged and productive workforce by providing clear paths for advancement.
  • Recruitment and Training: Lead recruitment strategies to attract top talent and develop training programs that ensure new and existing employees are equipped to excel in their roles. You’ll ensure that every employee, from hire to training, is positioned for long-term success.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Uphold the company’s commitment to ethical conduct by ensuring all employees adhere to governance, compliance, and ethical standards. You will serve as a champion for creating a culture of integrity and accountability across the organization.
  • Culture Building: Collaborate closely with leadership to foster a positive, productive, and inclusive work environment that aligns with the company’s values. By balancing operational excellence with a supportive culture, you will ensure that employees are motivated, productive, and happy.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years in a People Operations, HR, or similar role with a strong focus on both strategic and operational responsibilities, preferably in a fast-growing or dynamic environment.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing teams or cross-functional initiatives, with the ability to drive employee engagement and development.
  • HR Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, including recruiting, onboarding, employee development, and performance management, with a keen understanding of compliance and labor laws.
  • Operational Mindset: Strong organizational and operational skills with the ability to design and implement processes, policies, and systems that improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Experience in developing and executing recruitment strategies that attract top talent, coupled with a track record of managing smooth and effective onboarding programs.
  • Training & Development: A solid background in designing and implementing employee training and career development programs that foster growth, motivation, and long-term retention.
  • Cultural Fit: Ability to foster a positive company culture that aligns with organizational values and encourages employee satisfaction and productivity.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify challenges, develop solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Technology Savvy: Proficiency with HRIS systems, employee engagement platforms, and tools that streamline HR and operational processes.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and manage multiple priorities with a proactive, hands-on approach.
