About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Product Growth Manager to take ownership of the critical user activation phase in our product-led growth journey—supporting our core products (Vercel & v0). In this role, you will drive initiatives that turn new users into long-term engaged customers by improving onboarding, activation flows, and driving product adoption at scale.

As a key leader within Vercel’s growth team, you will collaborate across teams to design and execute a world-class activation strategy, ensuring our users experience the value of Vercel quickly and seamlessly. You’ll work closely with designers, engineers, lifecycle marketers, and analysts to optimize user experiences that drive retention and growth.

You are proficient in getting your hands into data, understanding customer journeys, user behavior, and also translating this into actionable recommendations. You'll be leading cross functional team members and gaining buy-in from executive stakeholders.

What you will do:
  • Define and implement the vision and roadmap for user activation, focusing on streamlining onboarding, enhancing engagement, and improving time-to-value for new users.
  • Drive experiments through their entire cycle: ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative research to identify opportunities within the activation funnel and validate ideas
  • Partner with product, engineering, design, and marketing teams to execute strategies that enhance activation flows, foster engagement, and drive key outcomes such as user retention and long-term value
  • Track and optimize key success metrics such as time-to-value, activation rate, and user engagement, ensuring Vercel’s product-led growth motion remains effective and efficient.
  • Communicate and document plans effectively and consistently, to organize work for execution - both feature releases and experiments.
  • Regularly presenting growth performance and insights to senior management, informing strategic decisions.
About you:
  • 7+ years of experience in growth, product management or lifecycle marketing.
  • Ability to independently analyze data, identify growth opportunities, and make actionable product decisions.
  • Proven history of driving user engagement, delivering optimized activation funnels, and achieving product-led growth goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, working effectively with engineering, design, sales, customer success, and marketing teams to drive cohesive expansion strategies
  • Ability to think strategically, learn fast, and communicate with impact

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $164,000.00 - $246,000.00.  This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be  adjusted based on employee location.  The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
