Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with the Director of Project Management to manage a portfolio of solar and storage projects from late-stage development through construction, serving as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert. The role involves working with Business Development and Pre-Construction teams to support construction activities, including project planning, risk analysis, scheduling, and budget reviews. The Senior Project Manager will oversee construction contracts, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Pre-Construction and Business Development teams to support project planning, including reviewing constructability, risk analyses, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Lead the formal transition of projects from development/pre-construction to project execution and eventually to O&M.
- Provide leadership throughout the construction phase, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements.
- Manage project contracts (EPC, equipment, interconnection agreements) to ensure contractors and suppliers meet deadlines and stay within budget.
- Lead, mentor, and develop your project team, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Track and analyze project costs, budgets, and forecasts to ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Maintain positive relationships with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, landowners, and local government or utility partners.
- Oversee compliance with environmental and safety regulations during project execution.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management, ensuring transparency on project progress, performance, and key challenges.
- Ensure smooth handoff from construction to Operations & Maintenance and oversee the final closeout of project contracts.

Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management; or equivalent years of experience in construction, project planning, and execution of large utility-scale, power plant projects.
- 5-7 years in the renewable energy sector or industrial construction or capital project management
- Advanced knowledge of construction management and constructing methods for large projects, contract management, procurement, and supply chain management, environmental and building permitting, and transportation logistics
- Basic knowledge of construction labor relations throughout the US
- Competency in analytical problem solving, customer/partner relationships, and technology expertise.
- Experience with High Voltage Interconnection aspects of a projects SOW.
- PMP certification a plus
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Project, Excel), Procore, SiteTracker, and other discipline-relevant software.

Additional Information
- Travel required up to 25%.

Locations: We are open to remote candidates with the expectation to travel to project sites as needed.
Compensation: The salary range for the position is $135,000 - $165,000 plus bonus and benefits. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
