Overview/ Job Responsibilities:
***Full-Time, Remote Position - Coast Guard experience preferred***
This position is for direct support to the Coast Guard’s newly formed Support Equipment Program Manager requiring four years as a project manager or action officer within modernized units or program offices. Competence in the experience, roles and responsibilities listed below are crucial to successfully filling this high profile, fast paced role. Support equipment encompasses a wide variety of mission equipment including forklifts, cranes, manlifts, hoists, boat lifts and other similar equipment necessary to execute Coast Guard operations.
Prior experience with Coast Guard’s financial, logistics, budgeting, and/or procurement systems is preferred. Great position for a retired storekeeper with budget/financial experience.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Program Management Analyst provides support for Coast Guard's CG-44 Support Equipment (SE) Management Team:
- Define configuration specifications and business analysis requirements
- Perform quality assurance
- Define reporting and alerting requirements
- Evaluate budget proposals and financial requests for viability.
- Prepare cost estimates and plans, while providing necessary reporting, documentation, and financial assessments.
- Manage, coordinate, and create resource proposals to support the program manager’s annual budget development.
- Own and develop relationship with partners, working with them to optimize and enhance our integration.
- Help design, document, and maintain system processes
- Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to product team
- Communicate key insights and findings to product team
- Lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer
- Responsible for planning and execution of project and program meetings
- Create, update and support updates to MS365 forms, templates, and IT applications/systems.
- Archive Program functional documents and information
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with four (4) years’ experience in business, business analytics, operations research, or a related field, and working knowledge in at least four (4) of the following areas:
- Program management
- Budget and Finance
- Supply Chain Management
- Logistics
- Computer Science
- Operations Research
- Business
- Accounting
- Engineering
- Information Systems Management
AND
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suit (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Proof of U.S. Citizenship in order to obtain a Coast Guard; NACI/SSBI
Desired Qualifications:
- Coast Guard NACI
- Experience with Financial System Modernization Solution (FSMS)
- Experience with P.R.E.S.S.
- Prior Coast Guard Logistics Center experience
- Logistical experience in a Coast Guard aviation environment is highly desired.
