We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering teams across all projects. This role is akin to a Head of Development position, requiring both strong managerial skills and a solid technical background. You’ll collaborate directly with project leads to ensure the quality of deliverables and foster engineering best practices throughout the company.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in engineering leadership, a deep understanding of software development, and a hands-on approach to both technical and managerial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Best Practices: Guide teams in adopting modern software development methodologies and ensure quality and efficiency across all projects.
  • Pre-Sales Technical Support: Provide technical consultation and craft proposals in collaboration with the sales team to align client needs with organizational capabilities.
  • People Management: Oversee team development through Personal Development Plans (PDPs), mentor engineers, and manage team assignments based on technical performance.
  • Project Quality Monitoring: Conduct regular technical check-ins to ensure projects meet technical standards, address risks, and manage technical debt.
  • Technical Escalation: Act as the go-to for resolving complex technical issues swiftly and efficiently.
  • Process Optimization: Design and improve internal processes for enhanced engineering workflows and delivery timelines.
Goals & Challenges:
  • Establish and maintain technical evaluation processes across all projects.
  • Implement and promote engineering best practices within each department.
  • Proactively monitor project health to identify risks and inefficiencies.
  • Develop Personal Development Plans (PDPs) for key engineering roles.
  • Establish SLA practices to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Implement a structured technical onboarding process for new team members.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in engineering leadership or technical management roles.
  • Solid technical background with an understanding of software development and quality assurance.
  • Strong problem-solving, technical troubleshooting, and people management skills.
  • Experience in pre-sales technical consultation and creating technical proposals.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
