About The Role

As a key player in our finance team, you’ll be at the helm of shaping our financial control and reporting functions. You'll work closely with senior leadership to drive financial strategy and compliance across our global entities. Reporting initially to the VP of Finance and ultimately to the Group Financial Controller, this role offers a unique blend of leadership, strategic input, and hands-on involvement.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the preparation and completion of full-year statutory reports, external audits, and compliance requirements (incl. Payroll Tax and Insurances) for our global group.
  • Provide critical advice on M&A, consolidations, revenue recognition, intangibles, and more to internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise with external professional service providers (locally and internationally), such tax agents, out-sourced accounting services and valuation experts to ensure timely and accurate completion of compliance requirements globally.
  • Enhance the functionality of our new ERP (NetSuite) and EPM (Mosaic) systems, ensuring seamless integration across our expanding global footprint.
  • Collaborate with the broader finance team to build and refine financial processes and policies, positioning yourself as the subject matter expert in Financial Control.
  • Manage monthly group consolidation, ensuring accuracy in P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations in line with internal policies.
  • Assist in the provision of timely reporting on a quarterly basis and any ad-hoc provision of data.
  • Play a pivotal role in special projects including international expansion, acquisitions, integrations, and capital raises.

Qualifications

  • You have 5+ years of experience in a similar role or a strong foundation from a big 4/mid-tier audit practice.
  • Your communication skills are top-notch, and you’re able to see the bigger picture.
  • You’re detail-oriented, with a passion for accuracy and data integrity.
  • You excel in high-paced environments, balancing multiple priorities with ease.
  • You’re a hands-on professional who’s eager to build and optimise processes.
  • You bring best practices and a strategic mindset to every challenge.

What We Offer

  • We are offering an 18-month fixed-term contract with a clear path to permanency for the right candidate, based on performance and business needs. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team with the potential for long-term career growth.
  • Join one of Australia’s fastest-growing tech scale-ups.
  • Enjoy the flexibility to work from home and balance work with life.
  • We provide stretch opportunities and a clear path to fast-track your career.
  • Access resources and opportunities to continue growing professionally.
  • No two days are the same in our rapidly evolving company.
