Job Overview
We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Scrum Master to join our fully remote team. In this pivotal role, you will lead and mentor Agile teams, steering them through projects critical to the operation and maintenance of enterprise-level Air Force systems. Your leadership will be vital in overseeing project progress, ensuring timely and effective delivery, and managing program operations, including project and risk oversight. You will work in close collaboration with product owners, scrum teams, capability delivery managers, and program managers to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion Agile culture and principles within the team.
- Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team atmosphere.
- Collaborate with the Agile Coach to provide valuable feedback for ongoing enhancement.
- Organize and facilitate key Agile meetings such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews/retrospectives.
- Evaluate and manage the backlog to ensure current work status is accurately documented and updated.
- Track team metrics and consistently report project statuses.
- Take proactive ownership in identifying and resolving issues or obstacles that may arise.
- Coordinate with other DevOps teams to mitigate interdependencies and ensure seamless project execution.
- Lead release management activities, including comprehensive regression test coordination, ensuring compliance with SDLC artifacts, runbook coordination, and deployment support.
Required Skills
- Proficient in various Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean, DSDM, XP, Crystal).
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience as a Scrum Master.
- Strong foresight in anticipating potential challenges and responding proactively to mitigate impacts.
- Skilled in managing stakeholder needs effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of system flows, interface details, and system infrastructure.
- Proven ability to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Proficient in reviewing and managing backlog items for accurate tracking and updates.
- Experience in fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Project, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- High School diploma with 8 years of relevant IT experience.
- Associate’s degree with 6 years of IT experience.
- Bachelor's degree with 4 years of IT experience.
