Sales Representative, End User

 

Location: Spokane, WA or Tri-cities Area (Kennewick/Pasco/Richland)

 

Are you as passionate as we are in servicing our customers in the healthcare, school, university, military, and commercial building setting?  We provide unsurpassed security and life-safety solutions and the essential support services (LEED consultation, code compliance, access control system integration, product research and selection, specification writing services, technical support, etc.) to ensure well-functioning doorway systems in the commercial building industry.  If so, we have an exciting opportunity on our ASSA ABLOY sales team that is meant for you.

 

What you will be doing:

 

In this role, you will be responsible for calling on Facility Managers, Security Directors, IT Directors, and Construction and Planning Departments within an end user account.  Additionally, you will partner with local selling partners including wholesalers, integrators, locksmiths, and distributors to maximize positive impact with end user accounts. We need a sales professional capable of relationship and technical solution selling within the commercial construction, multi-family, and property management market segments to gain approval for the product lines represented by Door Security Solutions.

Key areas you will contribute to the role include: 

 

  • Communicate effectively with a variety of decision makers and influencers including locksmiths, facility managers, IT networking managers and executives.
  • Develop short- and long-term sales plans.
  • Identify and classify the sales potential of each client.
  • Establish a network of clients with a high level of trust, developing relationships quickly and easily.
  • Sell opening solutions as a consultant using a communication approach that can be effective with a diverse audience.
  • Apply discovery abilities including prospecting, profiling, qualifying, identifying client needs, and presenting solutions. 

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are excited about selling a full range of door opening solutions. 
  • You are detail-oriented, organized and known for follow-up habits. 
  • You’re a strong communicator, active listener, and negotiator.
  • You can work independently but believe in teamwork. 
  • You have the ability to read, understand specifications/facility standards and technical aptitude in building construction, electromechanical and IT networking. 
  • Ability to travel (60% - 70% locally) and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.
  • Ability to perform responsibilities both in a home office environment or in-the-field at a construction site or building facility.

 

Education and/or experience:

 

  • Your background includes a College/University degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or similar). 
  • Industry related experience with openings as a commercial locksmith, door frames/hardware installer, contractor’s license for installation, CHD project manager with school, healthcare, or institutional facilities.
  • Working knowledge of related softwares is a plus.
