Job description

About NewHomesMate: NewHomesMate is an innovative online marketplace dedicated to transforming the new construction home-buying experience. Our cutting-edge platform helps buyers easily discover, compare, and purchase new construction homes. As a fast-growing startup, we leverage advanced technology and expert insights to simplify the process and make homeownership more accessible. We are committed to delivering exceptional service and redefining how people find their ideal new home.

About the Role:

As the first Sales Data Analyst at NewHomesmate, you will be instrumental to the success of New Home Experts teams, driving data insights that influence strategies. Reporting to the Head of Data and Analytics, you will work cross-functionally, partnering closely with Engineering and Sales Operations teams to ensure data accuracy and shape our data gathering and transformation methods. While the pipeline conversions are at the heart of this function, there is an opportunity to work with a variety of fun data in your role: from customer satisfaction surveys and interviews to maps, locations, and graphs. This position is perfect for someone excited about building the foundation of sales analytics and who enjoys collaborating across departments to impact the business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze sales data and trends to provide actionable insights for the sales team. We mean it, our leadership and operations team is in the dashboards every day and every hour. No key decision gets past us.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from various databases. We can’t promise you big sexy data, but every record in our database is about people getting close to making their homeownership dream come true. Pretty cool, huh?
  • Develop, maintain, and automate reports and dashboards using Tableau.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and engineering to ensure data accuracy and integrity across reporting systems and tools.
  • Assist marketing, sales, and finance teams in creating sales forecasts and pipeline analysis based on historical data.
  • Partner with the Sales Operations and People team to make informed decisions around the team’s performance, engagement and efficiency.

You Should Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a sales or business environment.
  • 1+ year of experience with BI tools (preferably Tableau).
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large data sets.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (English).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Experience working with data from systems of a record is a strong plus (CRM, ATS, HCMS, etc)
  • Passion for data visualization and storytelling.
  • Natural curiosity
