The Networks & Datacenters Industry Solutions Team (IST) is looking for a high-energy individual to join the Industry Solutions team as Business Development Engineer.
In this role, you will understand the dynamics in the market and how it might impact customers in high-speed digital and datacenter applications. You will proactively drive engagement and collaboration with established high speed digital customers as well as promising startups in the space. You will understand the business and technical challenges they face and communicate this insight to IST management and R&D. You will add value by pursuing comprehensive end-to-end solutions sales representing the entire Keysight portfolio. To be successful in this role you will develop a strong relationship with sales, application experts as well as key technical leaders within these customers.
Responsibilities
Your main objectives can be described as followed:
- Monitor sales funnel trends and forecast for a specific segment of customers
- Actively support the sales force in deal closing activities for Data Center applications
- Collaborate with Sales at Top Tier customers to identify, qualify and drive strategic, expansion or future business opportunities (e.g. roadmap sharing, future test needs)
- Actively engage with solution planning and the standards experts to identify trends/opportunities
- Define and run programs based on key trends and customer applications
- Define and drive sales training efforts for Keysight’s technical and commercial sales staff
- Support customer facing Industry events and activities (tradeshows, workshops, seminars)
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A customer-first and result-oriented mindset with positive and aggressive sales-oriented attitude.
- Demonstrated rapid skill development on new technologies and markets
- Demonstrated leadership skills to lead execution of tactics for customer/market driven deliverables
- Ability to interact with customers in diverse roles (Engineer, Manager, VP) to capture customer insight and transform it into technical and commercial opportunities
- Proven success in integrating resources across multiple functions in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly competitive environment
- Experience with Oscilloscopes, Bit-Error Rate Test solutions, AWGs, Network Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers, and other datacenter test equipment, high-speed serial technologies, digital test markets, competitors, and customers
- 10 years of applicable experience, with Proven sales development experience; field/sales experience especially with major/strategic customers is a plus
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or equivalent. An MBA is a plus.

Santa Clara Pay Range: MIN $136,000 - MAX $227,000.00
