About The Role

The Tax Associate will be responsible for assisting in processing an organization's tax, ensuring compliance, timeliness, and accuracy. The candidate will report to the Manager of Finance.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in preparing US and international tax reports, provisions and returns
  • Reconcile tax reports on a regular basis
  • Review accounting and compliance processes, helping to implement enhancements as needed
  • Stay current on tax laws, rules, and regulations that potentially impact the company
  • Assist with tax audit issues
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management
  • Cross collaboration with other departments

What We Need

  • Experience with reporting and filing of US income tax for corporations
  • Knowledge of US federal, state, and local tax laws and rules. International tax knowledge is nice to have. 
  • Proficient in working with different accounting and payroll systems
  • Skilled in using Excel or Gsheets
  • Ability to communicate concepts succinctly and clearly and perform well under time constraints
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Capable of finding critical information from large amounts of data (needle in a haystack)
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Open to giving and receiving feedback to improve performance
  • Willing to tackle any task, regardless of its size or complexity
  • Experience in the tech sector or with startups is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field a plus

Compensation: 

  • Base Salary: $65,000-$75,000
  • Potential semi annual bonus based on performance
