JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic Global Account Director with a passion for both strategic and tactical account management. This role will focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with OEM customers in the commercial vehicle and automotive industries. The ideal candidate will act as the primary liaison between our customers and internal teams, ensuring alignment with the voice of the customer and Stoneridge’s capabilities and strategic direction.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Account Ownership: Lead and manage a global account, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving revenue growth.
  • Strategic Relationships: Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key stakeholders, including Procurement and R&D teams, across the customer's global organization.
  • Voice of the Customer: Deeply understand customer needs, requirements, market trends, and sourcing processes. Serve as the internal advocate for the customer within Stoneridge.
  • Customer Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for all account-related matters, representing Stoneridge’s interests and ensuring alignment with our strategic direction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Product Management, to understand Stoneridge's offerings and effectively communicate these to the customer.
  • Global Account Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive global account business plan to achieve business objectives.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and manage challenging customer requests and escalations with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations and actively participate in the quotation process.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years in a similar role, with a strong understanding of sales processes and disciplines.
  • Experience in the automotive or commercial vehicle industry, with a solid understanding of OEM customers.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain strategic relationships and lead cross-functional global teams.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and drive results in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • Negotiation: Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a high standard of professionalism and ethics.
  • Communication: Excellent networking and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
  • Business Acumen: Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to balance a holistic view with attention to detail, ensuring successful account management and customer satisfaction.
  • Ambassadorship: Act as a brand ambassador for Stoneridge, consistently going the extra mile to meet customer needs.

TRAVEL & LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness and readiness to travel as needed to support global account management activities, up to 50% Travel
  • Working locations in the Greater Seattle Area on a remote basis or onsite in Novi, MI in a hybrid working schedule
