Position Summary

The Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) will be responsible for developing evidence to support the Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) program throughout its lifecycle management. The Director will design, implement, and manage HEOR studies, focusing on patient reported outcomes (PROs), and observational studies. The Director will closely collaborate with cross-functional partners including Regulatory, Clinical Research, Clinical Operations, Biometrics, Medical Affairs, Patient Advocacy, and Commercial to successfully incorporate HEOR strategies and RWE to support the development and commercialization of our asset in CAH.

Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities

These may include but are not limited to:

  • Lead, plan, and execute the pre-, peri, and post-launch HEOR research program for CAH in collaboration with cross-functional teams, external KOLs, consultants, and vendors
  • Focus on immediate and short-term (<2 Years) strategic planning horizon
  • Provide leadership, career management, coaching and mentoring to others on the team and cross-functionally
  • Recruit and develop top talent. Align team to needs of the business
  • Drive team objectives and goal setting, prioritization, and adherence to plan and strategy
  • Contribute to the design, PRO endpoint selection, and reporting and analysis of clinical studies
  • Develop economic evaluations including cost-effectiveness models to support value propositions
  • Document unmet needs by demonstrating economic and humanistic burden in planned/approved indications for Paltusotine
  • Develop publications and external communications based on HEOR and RWE studies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop value dossiers (i.e. AMCP, GVD, HTA)
  • Conduct patient and caregiver surveys as appropriate to support value propositions
  • Collaborate with disease and HEOR KOLs to develop position papers of interest
  • Identify critical future HEOR capability gaps, develop and lead the strategy for capability development, skills and standards to ensure consistently high performance
  • Attend medical/scientific, pharmacy, and HEOR professional meetings to keep up with changing trends and remain current within the field relating to new research and medical trends affecting acromegaly

    Education and Experience:

    • Advanced degree related to health economics and/or health outcomes research (MSc, MPH, PhD, PharmD, RN, MD)
    • Minimum of 10 years of relevant pharmaceutical/ consulting HEOR experience, plus a minimum of 8 years in a supervisory role
    • Preferred breadth of experience to include PRO development, statistical analysis, and observational research
    • Ability to impact, influence, and interact with senior business leaders and partners
    • Demonstrable success in employing innovative techniques to overcome data limitations
    • Excellent analytical skills, including in-depth technical expertise and experience, economic modeling, patient-reported outcome measures and outcomes research methodologies
    • Experience of exceptional collaboration with other functions (e.g., biometrics, clinical research, medical affairs, patient advocacy and commercial)
    • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills especially over departmental and geographical boundaries
    • Ability to lead, collaborate and influence cross-functional teams
    • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as US healthcare laws and regulations
    • Flexible, adaptable, diplomatic, and able to effectively deal with ambiguity
    • Possesses a good blend of strategic and operational experience with the ability to see the big picture and strong attention to detail

    Physical Demands And Work Environment

    Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate.     Laboratory Activities (if applicable): Biology and chemical laboratory environment experience needed. Environmental health and safety requirements also apply.

    Travel

    You may be required to travel for up to 5% of your time.

    The Anticipated Base Salary Range: $188,000 - $235,000

    In addition to your base pay, our total rewards program consists of a discretionary annual target bonus, stock options, ESPP, and 401k match.     The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience and education. Crinetics Pharmaceuticals is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
