This is a remote position.

Work Schedule:

  • 20 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, flexible between 9am to 6pm Des Moines, Iowa, USA time
  • Some Saturdays may be needed with advance notice

Job Description

As the Social Media Specialist, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to re-energize our client’s brand across multiple social media platforms. You’ll craft compelling narratives, create engaging visual content, and build meaningful connections with the audience. Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across multiple platforms
  • Create and curate engaging content, including eye-catching graphics, videos, and written posts
  • Manage daily social media activities, ensuring consistent and timely posting
  • Transform long-form content (e.g., webinars, courses) into bite-sized social media posts
  • Craft compelling copy for various marketing materials, including email campaigns and webinar presentations
  • Stay on top of social media trends and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Analyze social media metrics and provide regular performance reports
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent brand messaging
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar for all social media activities
  • Create and manage social media advertising campaigns to support business objectives
Requirements
  • Proven experience in social media management for business accounts, preferably in education or finance sectors
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms and audiences
  • Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools preferably Canva
  • Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools
  • Understanding of social media advertising platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative mindset with a knack for translating complex topics into engaging content
  • Knowledge of SEO and content marketing best practices (preferred)
