We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator in our Human Resources Department who is experienced in managing payroll operations for both the US and Canadian jurisdictions. The candidate must have hands-on experience with the Dayforce payroll system and a strong understanding of the payroll regulatory landscape in both countries.

What You Will Do

  • Process payroll for employees in both the US and Canada, ensuring accurate and timely execution including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions using Dayforce.
  • Respond to and resolve payroll administrative inquiries and questions.
  • Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements in each country.
  • Ensure payroll processes are compliant with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Facilitate year-end processing/reporting and distribution of W-2 s (US).
  • Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
  • Ensures employees on LOA are paid
  • Process off-cycle incentive pay, termination pay, etc.
  • Assist with 401k and other benefits audits and functions
  • Engages with team members of focus area to continually grow knowledge and receive/provide feedback
  • Administrative tasks for all assigned HR programs (may include various specialized HR areas)
  • Supports consistency and applies a continuous improvement framework to program implementation and administration

Who You Are

  • Proficient in payroll software: Specifically Dayforce, and adept at navigating complex financial information with very close attention to detail to ensure paycheck accuracy
  • Reliability: A consistent performer who understands the level of responsibility of the tasks and that the reputation of the business partly is reflected in dependability and trustworthiness of the role’s work efforts.

  • Excellent Communicator: Ability to clearly explain complex payroll concepts to employees and helping to resolve their confidential concerns
  • Problem Solver: Understanding how to run reports, compare data, and understand compliance

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of payroll processing experience, specifically with Dayforce.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations in both the US and Canada.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Google products, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with availability to work on a full-time basis, Monday through Friday.
  • Certification as a Payroll Professional (e.g., CPP, PCP) preferred.
