Job description

Our client is an Australian company providing trusted medication management services to elevate healthcare safety and clinical outcomes.

They are now looking for a Payroll Officer to manage payroll processes for employees and contractors.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure payroll systems are accurately set up and maintained.
  • Process payroll by the 15th of each month, including backpays, new starters, terminations, and bonus payments.
  • Verify all approved and pending leave requests.
  • Handle payroll queries and sync payslips to the Employment Hero system.
  • Manage tax adjustments and lodge relevant documents with the ATO (Australian Taxation Office).
  • Reconcile payroll data and provide reports for audits when necessary.
  • Manage superannuation funds and process quarterly payments.

Requirements

  • Experience managing payroll for approximately 70 employees and external contractors.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and advanced payroll software.
  • Familiarity with Australian payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and numeracy skills, with attention to detail.
