About the Role:

Tubi is seeking an Associate, Experience & Metadata to join our team. This role is part of Content Operations and reports to the Senior Manager, Experience & Metadata. The Associate will work with the other members of the Experience & Metadata team to ensure accurate metadata and categorization for all new titles launched each week as well as all old titles in the library. The Associate will ensure titles have their metadata properly localized by region. A candidate for this role is highly organized and pays close attention to detail. Strong communication (both written and verbal) and time-management skills are essential, as is the ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. A candidate for this role is proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

This is a full-time, hourly position.

Currently, all Tubi employees either work from home full-time or are hybrid. Offices are in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Tempe.

What You'll Do:

  • Use industry standards and our own in-house style guide to clean and standardize all partner-provided metadata, including writing and editing descriptions, verifying of ratings, tagging keywords, and locating various identification numbers
  • Use your research skills and extensive knowledge of films and series to assign genre and appropriately categorize titles
  • Localize English-language metadata for Spanish-speaking audiences
  • Help manage containers and support curatorial efforts
  • Spot check live titles and maintain the library via clean-up projects
  • Find and fix issues, such as duplicate, missing, or incorrect metadata
  • Assist with various assigned projects
  • Think critically about issues as they arise, investigate the cause, provide feedback and solutions, and communicate this all effectively with the team

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
  • Fluency in Spanish, including reading, writing, and speaking as well as an  understanding of regional differences in vocabulary, including spelling and meaning
  • Familiarity working with content management systems
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (e.g, Sheets, Docs, Slides, Gmail)
  • Familiarity with third-party sources of metadata, such as Gracenote and IMDb
  • Familiarity with metadata, metadata standards in the entertainment industry, and the entertainment industry itself
  • A passion for movies and television
  • Methodical research and organizational skills, careful planning and investigative know-how, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and a high level of self-sufficiency
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive and flexible approach to work, able to embrace change and uncertainty, have a strong sense of ownership of responsibilities and initiative toward consistently improving workflows
  • Background in writing is a plus!

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is listed per hour below. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.

$28.37 to $40.38 / hourly + Benefits

Colorado and Washington (excluding Seattle, WA)

$26.44 to $38.46 / hourly + Benefits
