Skills and Competencies
- 4+ years of experience in driving architecture, design & implementations on large ServiceNow instances.
- Proficient in advanced ServiceNow integration, configuration, and development.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and awareness of database concepts.
- Experience in planning and executing ServiceNow upgrades.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with customers and functional team members.
- In-depth understanding of ServiceNow functionality, specializing in modules like Incident Management, Change Management, and Service Catalog.
- Proficiency in integrations with REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, Scripted REST web service APIs, and MID Server.
- Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, and REST API service integration.
- Familiarity with LDAP Integration, ServiceNow Development APIs, and diagnosing performance-related issues, as well as Flow, workflow, UI Policies, Business Rules, and Security Rules in ServiceNow.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- ServiceNow Certified Administrator with experience in Agile and Scrum development approaches.
Responsibilities
The ServiceNow Engineer at Moody’s leads strategic direction and hands-on implementation, ensuring stakeholder adoption of solutions driving business outcomes and ROI. They guide internal development teams, establish best practices for instance strategy, technical governance, data management, integrations, and platform health.
- Cultivate strong relationships with business partners and development teams to align ServiceNow with Moody’s business objectives.
- Ensure instance health by reviewing and guiding remediation of configurations not following ServiceNow best practices.
- Provide technical direction and architecture for ServiceNow-based business and IT solutions.
- Lead development efforts, guiding teams in best practices to enhance stability, data quality, and user experience.
- Conduct knowledge transfer and training for application support personnel.
- Identify and address potential bottlenecks, collaborating with stakeholders for resolution.
- Offer technical guidance and serve as an escalation point for the ServiceNow team.
- Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow features and products, driving continual service improvement.
- Utilize tools and techniques such as scripting, configuration management, and automated testing to enhance delivery quality and speed.
- Network with internal and external stakeholders to streamline implementations and drive efficiency.
About the team
At Moody's, we have a large ServiceNow team divided into multiple SPOCs, one of which is the Integrations SPOC. As part of the Integrations SPOC, we develop, manage, and take care of any integrations required within ServiceNow. We support both inbound and outbound integrations and own critical ITSM modules such as Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management. Additionally, we provide support to the production support team when they need to triage critical integration issues.
