The Axial Programme (Global S/4HANA implementation)

The Axial Programme will be powered by S/4HANA a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which will be implemented right across the organisation and will provide our business with standardised processes, enhanced financial management, common data, and real time reporting, transforming the way we work through our entire supply chain - from bench to patient.

The new system will be used by more than 20,000 employees daily, is foundational to all AZ entities and is central to most core business processes. This is a once in a generation programme for AstraZeneca and will shape our ways of working globally for many years to come.

Introduction to Role:
The SAP MDG Business Analyst serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that SAP MDG solutions align with organizational goals and requirements. They play a crucial role in understanding business processes, identifying master data management needs, and translating them into functional specifications for SAP MDG implementations. This role requires a strong understanding of business processes, data governance principles, and excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration between business users and IT teams. Domain knowledge in one more area of Customer, Vendor, Material and Finance master data is crucial.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities of Role:

  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for SAP MDG configurations, customizations, and enhancements.
  • Work closely with SAP MDG Solution Consultants and Architects to design SAP MDG solutions that meet business needs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational objectives.
  • Document data governance rules, data quality metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of master data.

  • Develop training materials and provide training sessions to end-users on SAP MDG functionalities, data governance principles, and best practices. Provide ongoing support and assistance to business users post-implementation.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in SAP MDG implementation and customization.
  • Basic Knowledge in SAP MDG modules such as Material, Customer, Vendor, or Financials.
  • Understanding of data modelling concepts and data governance principles
  • Understanding of End-to-End functionalities in MDG Tools
  • Knowledge in Data Migrations and ETL strategies

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • SAP MDG Training
  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.

Education Background

- Engineering Graduate or Postgraduate

📍 Location: Guadalajara (hybrid - Expectation of working in the office 3 days a week)
