As the Senior Manager of Investor Relations at eBay, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance, analytics, and information technology functions of the company. Reporting to the Vice President of Investor Relations, you will be actively involved in developing and conveying eBay's financial narrative, as well as managing relationships with sell-side analysts and buy-side investors. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong finance background, demonstrated understanding of investor relations, excellent communication skills, and a passion for data-driven decision-making. This role will be critical in establishing strategic focus, enabling growth, ensuring execution, and driving efficiencies across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively support all aspects of Investor Relations for eBay as part of a small but dynamic team.
- Lead or assist in all aspects of the earnings process, including the creation of messaging materials (deck, scripts, release, disclosures), Q&A preparation, and the fact-check process.
- Manage the logistics for all earnings calls, ensuring smooth execution and effective communication.
- Work closely with sell-side analysts to ensure eBay's results and outlook are accurately understood and disseminated.
- Host calls with a wide range of buy-side investors, promoting open dialogue and understanding of eBay's financial performance.
- Assist in organizing and actively participate in Non-Deal Roadshows and investor conferences.
- Support the setup and execution of the annual shareholder meeting, ensuring that all partners are effectively engaged.
- Maintain strict adherence to disclosure and communications policy for any financial or metric disclosure requests across the company.
- Manage the Investor Relations team budget, including fostering relationships with key vendors to ensure the efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
- 8-10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably with some exposure to investor relations within a public company; experience within eCommerce or related industries is a plus.
- Excellent financial and investment analysis capabilities, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with financial modeling techniques used by security analysts to project a company's operating and financial performance.
- Understanding of the financial and investment markets and the ability to quickly establish new relationships.
- Ability to effectively manage cross-functional coordination.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and influence.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to communicate simply and effectively in large or small group settings.
- Proven project management and problem-solving skills.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
$144,000 - $216,150
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
