Position Summary
The Director, Investor Relations will report directly to the Senior Director, Investor Relations. This individual will lead the day-to-day operations and analytics of the investor relations team with a strategic perspective and high level of attention to detail. This individual will partner with the Senior Director to build relationships with analysts and investors and to build relationships with key stakeholders across Crinetics. This individual would have the energy, drive, and ability to execute, and is flexible, agile, resilient, and adaptable to a rapid-paced environment.
Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities
These may include but are not limited to:
- Serve as an integrated member of the Corporate Affairs team, responsible for helping shape and drive Crinetics' corporate reputation with key stakeholders.
- Manage a strong corporate reputation by demonstrating proactive, consistent, and clear communication between internal and external parties.
- Help develop and execute on the company’s strategic Investors Relation plan and corporate positioning.
- Create and maintain all investor-facing materials, including the quarterly earnings process (press releases, corporate presentations, conference call scripts, Q&As, etc.) and material creation for conferences
- Liaise with sell-side equity research analyst and buy-side investors
- Help develop and execute on a proactive investor targeting plan, including assessing performance vs. goals.
- Analyze market activity, financial trends, peer events, and other key issues that could impact Crinetics and periodically present findings to senior management team.
- Leverage best practices to improve existing processes and outputs.
- Partner with Product Leadership Teams and Corporate Communications to develop a strategic plan for discovery, development and regulatory updates.
- Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance on regulatory matters.
- Partner with Legal and Finance to help prepare the company’s quarterly reports and Annual Report and 10-K.
- Provide leadership, career management and personal development to direct reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 years' of experience in Investor Relations, Finance and/or Wall Street, plus a minimum of 8 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong background in financial modeling and financial reporting.
- Prior experience in investor relations at one or more biotech/biopharma companies.
- Exceptional oral, verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and professional communication.
- Ability to manage several workstreams simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate bi-coastal stakeholders and internal teams.
- Ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong work ethic, superior judgement and integrity.
- A desire to be part of a highly innovative company aimed at transforming the lives of people with serious diseases, their families.
Preferred
- MBA or graduate degree in biology- or chemistry-related field.
- Experience in finance/strategy roles within the biotechnology/pharmaceuticals industry.
Physical Demands And Work Environment
Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. Travel
You may be required to travel for up to 25% of your time.
The Anticipated Base Salary Range: $176,000 - $220,000
In addition to your base pay, our total rewards program consists of a discretionary annual target bonus, stock options, ESPP, and 401k match. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience and education.
