About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Total Rewards, the Total Rewards Manager will serve as a key individual contributor responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive Total Rewards programs. These programs will enable us to attract, reward, and retain top talent while positioning our company as an employer of choice. 

The Total Rewards Manager will be responsible for the execution and continuous improvement of compensation, benefits, pension, and wellness programs within the United States. The successful candidate must possess the vision and operational expertise necessary to deliver results, with a focus on compensation program design, benefits administration (Canada & US), analytics, and HRIS systems. This role requires a blend of business acumen, analytical skills, and strategic thinking to execute successful strategies. 

Responsibilities  
  • Implement and manage Total Rewards programs by partnering with the Head of Total Rewards and HR leadership.
  • Develop and oversee compensation and benefit programs including short-term incentive programs, recurring compensation cycles, benefit changes/enhancements, and job architecture initiatives, etc.
  • Lead HR projects and streamline HR operational processes and procedures.  Partner with key stakeholders to assess existing practices and leverage technology and automation.
  • Develop reporting and analytics framework to drive business results, drive accountability, and provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain the Total Rewards communications strategy, including the quality and frequency of communication for better comprehension and transparency.
  • Drive competitive and attractive Total Rewards strategies that are cost-effective, consistent with market trends, and aligned with the company’s priorities.
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking, salary structure reviews, and leads pay equity requirements for the organization
  • In partnership with the Compensation & Rewards Specialist, lead the annual and salary review processes
  • Maintain the job architecture design and strategy, including integration with pay bands, HRIS, compensation management system, etc.
  • Provide oversight and vendor management for the corporate travel program, including reporting, cost management and analytics
  • Foster positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the Head of Total Rewards in managing executive compensation programs.
  • Utilize reward tools to advance DEI objectives.
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, and Total Rewards
  • Preferred professional designation, such as CCP or equivalent
  • Experience in managing and scaling effective Total Rewards programs supporting business goals and growth objectives
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing compensation programs, policies, and governance
  • Experience managing benefit and retirement programs
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, statistical, and conceptual skills
  • Creative problem solver with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent business acumen and ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Inclusive thinker with experience developing global compensation and Total Rewards programs
  • High EQ and change leadership skills
  • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
