Job description

This is a remote position.

Toast is recruiting on behalf of this company, an innovative online ticketing platform based in Canada that is expanding into the US market. They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead their sales team during this critical growth phase. This position offers the opportunity to shape the company’s expansion strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to build and strengthen partnerships with event organizers and venues. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive the company’s expansion into the US market, focusing on building relationships with large event organizers, venues, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a growing sales team, providing guidance, setting goals, and ensuring they meet revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment between sales initiatives and product offerings.
  • Identify new business opportunities, establish long-term partnerships, and negotiate high-value contracts.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to refine the company's value proposition in the US market.
  • Track performance metrics, adjust strategies as needed, and present regular reports to the executive team.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and other forums to increase brand visibility and build connections.


Requirements
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably in SaaS, tech, or ticketing/event management industries.
  • Experience driving sales growth in new geographic markets, particularly the US.
  • Strong understanding of the event ticketing industry and experience negotiating with large-scale event organizers and venues is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team while working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within North America.

Salary:

$120,000-160,000 base, $300,000-400,000 OTE
