Essential Functions And Primary Duties

  • Complete all aspects of sales and use tax, property tax and local licensing for clients including status updates to managers, timely filings, and payment submissions
  • Demonstrate understanding of the client’s business including basis of sales, fixed assets to be reported, and potential audit risks
  • Identify and implement process improvements of the compliance function for sales and use tax as well as property tax
  • Complete assigned tasks within the time requested, explain variances when needed
  • Achieve charge hour goals
  • Assist associates with sales and use tax or property tax work; provide constructive review points
  • May supervise Associate’s on engagements
  • Train and mentor associate staff
  • May be involved in the client billing process by assisting Managers or Directors
  • Identify and begin to develop knowledge in audits or taxability research and advisement as they relate to sales and use tax or property tax
  • Leverage industry knowledge and business acumen blending cross serve opportunities into client engagements
  • Execute administrative duties as assigned
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 1 year supervisory experience preferred
  • CPA candidates preferred
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $76,000-$98,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
