The growing Stand Together Music, Sports & Entertainment team is building a community of artists, entertainers, and industry organizations that are collectively using the unique power of music to inspire and supercharge social progress.
 
*The Director, Music Partnerships will need to be located in Nashville, TN and will travel frequently to partner locations and to our Headquarters in Arlington, VA.*

Stand Together Music, Sports & Entertainment (STMSE) is currently looking for a Director of Music Partnerships to cultivate long-term relationships in the music and entertainment industry that yield productive partnerships to drive social impact. In this role, the Director will identify and drive internal and external opportunities to align Stand Together’s various priority initiativesand social entrepreneurs with a variety of artists, venues, and other music entities to drive change from a community level.
 
Creating deeper engagement in these important social issues beyond the transactional, the day-to-day duties of this position will include partnership building, managing, and execution, communication updates, strategic planning, and partner facing meetings.



Your Responsibilities Include
  • Develop impactful partnership strategies that focus on long-term mutual benefit and advance STMSE’s vision and partnership goals, including working with partners and internal teams to develop shared vision, objectives, and outcomes.
  • Manage multiple concurrent industry relationships focused on creating value alongside them in market (LA or Nashville), including several existing high-value relationships.
  • Lead the successful execution of partnerships, continually aligning internal and external stakeholders to shared vision and objectives.
  • Streamline processes to improve partnership relationship strategies, iterate objectives in response to STMSE overall priorities and goals.
  • Identify gaps and implement solutions by working with internal teams to design, develop, and deliver partnership direction.
  • Timely internal and external communication, keeping teams and partners apprised of partnership progress.
  • Development of partnership strategies and frameworks, deal points or statements of work for assigned partnerships, in collaboration with STMSE leaders and capabilities.
  • Monitor industry trends for growth opportunities to scale reach of STMSE programs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to other parts of the Stand Together community for industry partners and potential opportunities.

  • Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
  • 8+ year’s experience in partnerships within the music industry. Agency and broader entertainment experience is a plus.
  • Deep growth mindset built on humility and openness. Successful candidates will prioritize learning how to apply their industry knowledge within the context of our management philosophy to drive transformative results.
  • Strong connection to local music community (LA or Nashville).
  • Capacity to work in highly matrixed organization using a strategic mindset to embrace complexity, and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in clear, succinct, and timely communication (both written and spoken), with the ability to proactively seek and share knowledge and insights across teams and convey complex ideas with clarity.
  • Broad knowledge of industry norms across genres and disciplines, including knowledge of the top music talent, labels, DSPs, agencies, management firms, media, and other key players within the music and entertainment industry.
  • Experience working directly with talent, management and support teams at all levels for partner activations and relationship cultivation.
  • Desire to make positive change by working with entities from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

  • For this position we anticipate paying $150,000 per year. Actual amount may be higher or lower based on various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. Employees may be eligible to participate in our benefits programs which include medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts, life insurance, AD&D, disability, retirement, paid vacation, paid parental leave and educational assistance.
