What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark:

This position requires a highly proactive partner service orientation to ensure business objectives are met by delivering value added, strategically aligned support to the organization. The HRBP needs to maintain a level of business literacy about the business unit(s) supported and financial business plan.

Reporting directly to the Human Resources head of Americas/EMEA, this role is responsible for the following:

HR Policy - Will be responsible for contributing to policy development and idea generation together with Centers of Excellence and senior management. 

  • Make presentations of HR-related subjects/issues to management and stakeholders, along with recommendations for consideration, approval, and implementation. 

  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and updates to policies.

  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of programs provided by the COEs to ensure success.

HR Strategy – in collaboration with Centers of Expertise and Americas/EMEA HR leadership, provide guidance and direction regarding local human capital solutions.

  • Conduct weekly meetings with respective business unit leadership at the L3/L4 level.

  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships.

HR Processes - Ensure that policies and procedures are implemented consistently, are fit for purpose, and follow global HR guidance.

  • Creating awareness and collaborating with the Center of Expertise on best practice for plan performance and usage.

  • Provides consulting to leaders on a broad range of human resources issues including employee relations, performance management and ensuring consistency in goal setting, pay positioning and performance differentiation. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.  When necessary, conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. 

  • Provide performance management guidance to line management to ensure performance improvement processes are followed with appropriate disciplinary actions.

  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to managing employees, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.  Partner with Legal team as needed to provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.

  • Promote the best employee experience through building Culture, creating excellent Employee Experiences, collaborating with Centers of Excellence regarding local Compensation and Benefits program and influence talent attraction. 

  • May be accountable for developing and monitoring budget for local human resources and HR programs.

  • Strengthens the organization through talent planning activities including succession planning and high-potential talent identification and development.

  • Utilizes data to analyze trends and metrics to influence the development of solutions, programs, and policies. 

  • Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.

Country HR Management for Canada

  • Stay abreast of updates to country employment standards and ensure country specific policies and procedures are in compliance.

  • Communicate changes to country employment standards to necessary internal stakeholders.

  • Offer consultative support to HR centers of excellence to ensure country nuances are taken into consideration in global HR processes and programs.
