What impact can you make in this role?
You will be part of a team that champions the people agenda for GIC.
What will you do as a VP, HR Business Partner?
You will be part of the HR Business Partnering team, responsible for supporting talent programs and initiatives of global impact and scale for the Company, and for the departments you cover. You are a trusted advisor for department senior management on all issues related to people, with support from a senior HRBP as well as the broader HR team. You are expected to be a proactive communicator and change agent, who can successfully balance employee needs with business goals to create integrated solutions. You are also expected to contribute to talent policy formulation, as well as implement policies and programs to help the department navigate a demanding and dynamic environment and achieve its business goals.
- Promote and execute HR initiatives in partnership with policy/ program teams in talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, rewards and recognition.
- Drive people agenda and initiatives to meet future business goals, in partnership with business executives. Serve as the bridge representing business needs to the wider HR community.
- Work with the GIC School and line managers to encourage the growth and career development of staff through the talent development framework / programs.
- Drive the annual performance appraisal exercise, salary and bonus reviews and talent processes including facilitating any transition management if required.
- Provide insights on employee engagement from the ground and other channels including workplace surveys, as part of wider culture building efforts.
- Manage employee relations issues and support line managers in conflict resolution and grievance management, in compliance with labor regulations and market best practices.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
- Demonstrate a business centric mindset with curiosity and to leverage sound judgement skills to find resolutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the temperament and skills to build strong relationships founded on solid trust and mutual respect and to be adept at influencing both business executives and broader HR team.
- Exercises good judgment and is resourceful, able to deal effectively with a variety of demanding situations.
- Committed to the role and motivated to excel, never satisfied with status-quo, continually striving for excellence by designing for the future while managing day to day matters.
- Around 8 years of HR experience ideally gained in multinational companies.
