Job description

Overview:

We are seeking a Management/Business Consultant with a program management background, critical thinking skills, and a desire to manage client deliverables. As a key member of the Program Management Office (PMO) team supporting a highly complex, large, and visible effort, you will be responsible for assisting Program Manager in managing and coordinating at the project and workstream level, contributing to project planning, preparing and maintaining documentation, monitoring project activities, and evaluating the overall project performance.

Responsibilities:

You will work with client stakeholders to assess project performance, identify and manage risks and issues, keeping clients informed, and proactively managing expectations. As a Management/Business Consultant you will:

 

  • Leverage best practices currently employed in the private and public sectors to support the Program/Project Management Office (PMO)
  • Interact with team members and clients daily to include high ranking Government officials
  • Engage in critical problem-solving
  • Document, track, and manage program/project action items
  • Manage and maintain document library/repository of all relevant program/project artifacts
  • Interface with client on day-to-day project tasks and needs (i.e. meeting prep & follow up, action item/planning activities, etc.)
  • Assist in the design and development of client deliverables
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis
  • Translate policy and strategic initiatives into quantitative and qualitative data analysis and investigative data research
  • Communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing within a large, matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
  • Maintain quality delivery under tight deadlines and consistently meet client expectations
  • Manage competing priorities in a dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
  • Create executive-level communications for both internal PCI-GS and client stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Eligibility for U.S. Government security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study with at 1-3 years of client-facing management consulting experience for brand name consulting firms; federal acquisitions/financial assistance consulting experience preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrable experience drafting federal acquisition or grants guides, complex SOPs, work instructions or other large written report deliverables   
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior personnel on a daily basis
  • Ability to read and interpret Federal acquisition policy, regulations, and directives and to apply those interpretations fully and legally to required deliverables 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Outlook, Visio)
  • Ability to develop strong team and client relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including presentation skills)
  • Superior aptitude for analysis, including quantitative analytical skills and problem-solving
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with people at all levels in an organization
  • Relevant coursework or experience in: Market research tools, techniques, and methodologies
  • Quantitative analysis, statistical reporting, metrics and process design, development and implementation
  • Project and process management
Pay Range: USD $80,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr. EEO:
