Job description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Management Consultant - Procurement Management to join our team. The Procurement Analyst/Management Consultant will support the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Resource Management Office (RMO) by providing procurement and management consulting services. This role focuses on analyzing procurement processes, ensuring compliance, and improving organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a background in procurement, program management, and financial analysis, and will assist in supporting strategic initiatives within the OCIO RMO.

Responsibilities:

Procurement Analysis:
• Analyze procurement requests, contracts, and purchase orders to ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal policies.
• Assist in developing and maintaining acquisition strategies, procurement plans, and contract documentation.
• Review and provide recommendations for procurement improvements and efficiencies.
• Monitor procurement activities to ensure they align with the organization’s budget and financial goals.

 

Program Management Support:
• Assist in preparing and maintaining procurement documentation for large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with program goals.
• Support the development of procurement schedules and ensure timely completion of procurement tasks.
• Collaborate with program managers to track the progress of procurement activities and adjust plans as necessary.

 

Process Improvement:
• Identify and recommend improvements to procurement processes, focusing on automation and streamlining.
• Assist in integrating procurement systems with financial management tools to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Support change management initiatives related to procurement processes and systems.

 

Financial and Reporting Support:
• Prepare and analyze procurement-related financial reports, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Track and report on the status of procurement budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Support budget planning efforts by providing detailed analysis of procurement costs and trends.

 

Communication and Stakeholder Management:
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address procurement-related questions and concerns.
• Provide clear and concise updates to leadership on procurement activities, challenges, and progress.
• Assist in preparing presentations and reports for procurement steering committees and senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in procurement, management consulting, or financial analysis.
• Knowledge of federal procurement regulations and processes, including experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
• Experience with procurement planning, contract management, and acquisition strategies.
• Proficiency in financial management and procurement systems (e.g., PRISM, DELPHI, or other related platforms) (preferred but not required).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex procurement data to leadership.

Pay Range: USD $110,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr. EEO:
