About The Opportunity

SWCA seeks an experienced Senior Marketing and Proposal Coordinator to join our Marketing and Pursuit Resources team to support our Central Texas Oklahoma subregion (Austin, San Antonio, and Arlington offices). The Marketing and Pursuit Resources team provides our local operations teams with marketing, business development, and pursuit/proposal support. As the Senior Marketing Coordinator- Central Texas & Oklahoma you will play a key role supervising members of the marketing team, leading pursuit development, and supporting business development activities to sell our services to our clients across multiple industries. Our ideal candidate will thrive in an environment with tight deadlines and changing needs while ensuring a best-in-class product.

This is a full-time, regular (with benefits), salaried position. This position provides the flexibility of working remotely, in a hybrid capacity, or in-office as needed. However, it is a requirement that the candidate work in the Central time zone and possesses the ability to travel to offices for occasional on-site collaboration. This position requires occasional overtime, including working evenings and/or weekends as necessary to fulfill position responsibilities.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Supervise up to two (2) marketing staff, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Be a “go-to” resource for technical staff for marketing information, guidance, and support.
  • Participate in strategic planning for pursuits, marketing, and business development efforts, including:
  • leading internal teams through the pursuit development process — taking an active role in strategy and content development;
  • facilitating capture planning activities, working collaboratively with technical staff; and,
  • coordinating business development activities (meetings, research, events/conferences)
  • Write non-technical content for pursuits and marketing materials.
  • Participate in preparations for interviews and client presentations.
  • Work with, and mentor, regional marketing specialists, including:
    • Monitoring opportunities (through lead tracking services, client websites, etc.) for distribution to team members
    • Managing and maintaining relevant content in SWCA’s marketing database, Deltek Vision.

Experience and qualifications for success

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, Marketing, or related technical discipline (degrees in other specialties are acceptable if relevance can be demonstrated).
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience required, preferably with the proposal development process.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience managing or mentoring marketing staff.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • A demonstrated ability to efficiently manage resources, workloads, and deadlines.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, proofreading, writing, and formatting skills.
  • Experience handling multiple proposal projects at once.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication proficiency (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Ability to lead processes and work with colleagues who have diverse interpersonal styles.
  • Ability to multitask and to work with minimal supervision on multiple projects with fast-paced deadlines.

Preferred

  • Prior experience working within the A/E/C industry, or environmental consulting.
  • Prior experience collaborating with the Business Development team(s) to pre-position and conduct capture planning for must win efforts.
  • Participation with associations and/or organizational marketing experience.
  • Knowledge of local markets, including clientele and competition in environmental consulting.
  • Experience working in Deltek Vision, SharePoint, or comparable management information system.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.

  • This position may require occasional overtime including working evenings and/or weekends as necessary to meet submission deadlines.

A Senior Marketing Coordinator in this position can expect a salary rate of $74,256.00/yr. - $96,096.00/yr. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law.
