WORK ENVIRONMENT

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Director, Marketing will lead the strategy, development, and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive member acquisition, retention, and brand awareness. This includes building programs for existing offerings, new product launches, and new market entry initiatives, as well as executing ongoing "always-on" campaigns.
 
This pivotal leadership role will ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency across all marketing efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful campaigns that align with EO's mission and business goals. The Senior Director, Marketing, will be a key driver in growing the membership base beyond referrals, building integrated and innovative marketing campaigns, and implementing a robust testing framework.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive integrated marketing strategy that aligns with EO's overall business objectives, focusing on member acquisition, retention, brand awareness, and engagement initiatives. Establish a marketing dashboard to track key metrics and inform strategic decisions.
  • Campaign Management: Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social, email, events, and content marketing. Ensure campaigns are data-driven and deliver measurable results. Implement "test campaigns" to explore new approaches and refine strategies based on findings.
  • Brand Management: Maintain and elevate EO's brand positioning across all channels. Ensure brand consistency and alignment with EO's values and mission in all marketing communications.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages professional growth and excellence. Build and lead a high-performance team, including both in-house staff and freelancers/contractors.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Creative Services, Product Marketing, Communications, and Regional Marketing teams to ensure the integration of marketing efforts across all platforms and channels.
  • Data & Analytics: Lead a data-driven, test-and-learn, ROI-based mindset. Leverage data and analytics to measure campaign effectiveness, identify trends, and optimize marketing strategies. Provide regular reports and insights to the CMO and other senior leaders. Design and maintain an integrated calendar of member offerings along the member journey.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the integrated marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and a strong return on investment (ROI) for all marketing initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including portfolio leaders, regional leaders, chapter leaders, vendors, and agency partners, to drive marketing success.
  • MarTech Stack: Oversee the build-out of the marketing technology stack, including the Marketing Platform. Ensure seamless integration with CRM systems. Lead the implementation of the Marketing Platform, including data structure development and CRM integration.
 
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in integrated marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams, leveraging both internal and external resources to support the organization’s growth objectives.
  • Experience in recruiting, developing, and managing a team of globally distributed marketers; experience working with agencies preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working with and building consensus across cross-departmental teams and cultures.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Experience in managing large marketing budgets and delivering strong ROI.
  • Familiarity with the franchise or membership-based organization sector is a plus.
  • Expertise in integrated marketing, lead generation, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, regional directors, and chapter officers.
  • Demonstrated experience in building systems and processes that enhance collaboration and efficiency across teams.
  • Multilingual skills are preferred.
