Job Title: Epic Training Project Manager

Location:  50% onsite travel to midwest

Job Type: Full-time

Introduction:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Epic Training Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for the successful deployment and adoption of the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system across our enterprise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, planning, and managing all aspects of the training program to ensure effective and efficient use of the Epic system by all staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy for the Epic EHR implementation, tailored to meet the needs of various user groups within the organization.
  • Manage the training project lifecycle, including scope, schedule, resources, quality, and budget.
  • Collaborate with Epic implementation teams, IT staff, clinical and administrative leaders to align training initiatives with overall project objectives.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Epic Trainers and Instructional Designers, ensuring high-quality training material and delivery.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of training curricula, user manuals, and other educational materials.
  • Conduct needs assessments and skill gap analyses to identify training requirements and effectiveness.
  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions, ensuring logistics and technical setup are appropriately handled.
  • Monitor and report on the training program’s progress, challenges, and outcomes to project stakeholders.
  • Manage the certification of trainers and users in the Epic system.
  • Stay updated with Epic modules updates and changes, incorporating them into the training program as necessary.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Education, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certified Epic Trainer with experience in multiple Epic modules.
  • Proven experience as a project manager or lead in large-scale EHR implementations, specifically with Epic Systems.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and strategize for better solutions.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, understanding clinical workflows and healthcare operations.
