Description

In this role as a Project Administrator for the School-Based Mental Health (SBMH) Program, you will play a crucial part in facilitating communication and collaboration among students, faculty, and partner agencies. Your responsibilities will encompass student recruitment, curriculum updates, coordination with community partners, and supporting students throughout their professional journeys. This position presents a fulfilling opportunity to influence the future of social work and mental health services within educational environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Recruitment: Identify and recruit talented Master of Social Work (MSW) students for the SBMH cohort.
  • Curriculum Coordination: Assist in updating and refining the MSW curriculum to align with the SBMH program’s objectives.
  • Community Partnership Development: Organize and lead meetings with community partners to enhance practicum placement opportunities and strengthen relationships with local schools.
  • Marketing & Communications: Create and distribute marketing and training materials, including videos, social media content, and brochures, to increase awareness of SBMH and promote it as a career choice.
  • Mentorship & Professional Development: Mentor MSW students, aiding them in navigating their educational and career paths, including job search assistance and licensure preparation.
  • Evaluation & Reporting: Support the collection and analysis of program data, assist in preparing reports and presentations.
  • Program Promotion: Represent the SBMH program at events and meetings, showcasing its initiatives, goals, and achievements.
  • Grant Management: Ensure that grant objectives are met and oversee financial practices and budget management for the program.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a closely related field by the start date.
  • Recent experience (within the last 4 years) in school-based mental health services is preferred.
  • Strong experience with community organizations and an understanding of multicultural/multilingual populations.
  • Familiarity with grant-funded projects and working in educational settings (university or K-12).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in social work, family science, psychology, sociology, or education.
  • Previous experience in mental health or behavioral health settings.
  • Proven ability to represent the SBMH program effectively in diverse settings.
