Job description

The Basics:

Tanium is seeking a Sr. Director, Strategic Partner Development, to expand and deepen Tanium’s burgeoning strategic partnership with ServiceNow. Reporting to the VP, Strategic Partnerships, this person will focus specifically on the development and execution of joint GTM activities across the eastern half of the US that ultimately increase ServiceNow-influenced pipeline and revenue at Tanium. The ideal candidate is a seasoned consultative sales executive with a strong grasp of partner management and strategy and deep relationships across the ServiceNow field and partner organizations. 

What you’ll do:

  • Create and execute the strategy to connect and activate Tanium and ServiceNow sellers against joint sales opportunities 
  • Build required connectivity across Tanium and ServiceNow partner, technical, and marketing organizations to drive successful field and partner activation   
  • Identify and implement specific Tanium + ServiceNow sales plays  
  • Serve as an SME on Tanium + ServiceNow better together positioning to drive activity on specific joint sales accounts  
  • Support development and execution of processes to meet ServiceNow partner operations requirements   
  • Contribute to overall Tanium + ServiceNow commercial partnership strategy   
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, product, legal, finance) to support partner development and implement partnership strategy and programs  
  • Travel requirements: 25-35% 

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 15+ years of matrixed enterprise selling experience including 5+ years ITSM/ ITOM industry experience and 3+ years sales experience at ServiceNow  
  • Experience managing a sales or partner team is preferred  
  • Fluency in enterprise value selling methodology   
  • Expertise across the ServiceNow platform  
  • Depth in orchestrating sales processes that navigate C-level priorities, driving long-term account growth  
  • Experience initiating and successfully identifying new business opportunities, managing the intersection of partners in new and existing opportunities, and building relationships across Tanium’s partner ecosystem  
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building consensus among multiple stakeholders in an entrepreneurial, high-expectation environment    
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are a must, as well as experience working across internal and external organizations
