Job Description

This role will serve as the main liaison between AECOM’s Business and IT. As IT pivots toward new capabilities around Experience Design, Agile Product Development and Management, the RRM will be counted upon to leverage his / her knowledge on IT’s Strategy across the enterprise IT landscape to help our Business drive success and growth.

What will a day in this role look like:

  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, including business executives, department heads, and end-users. Work to understand the business's goals, challenges, and requirements, and effectively communicate these to the IT department.
  • Ensures that IT initiatives, projects, and services are closely aligned with the business's strategic objectives and leverages their knowledge on IT’s strategic roadmap to advise / collaborate with business leaders for opportunities where IT can drive innovation, improve efficiency, and provide competitive advantage
  • Helps to prioritize and manage the demand for IT services and solutions within the organization. You will work with business units to assess their technology needs, gather high level requirements, and provide guidance on potential solutions.
  • Facilitate the decision-making process, evaluating the feasibility and business value of proposed IT projects.
  • Engage in business analysis activities to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies that could benefit AECOM.
  • Assess the potential impact of new IT initiatives on the Business and help in the development process of business cases to support investment decisions. Facilitate the decision-making process, evaluating the feasibility and business value of proposed IT projects.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with business leaders to ensure strategic initiatives deliver meaningful results and anticipate changes to keep us ahead of the curve.

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?

  • Previous experience in roles where a deep understanding of both business and technology is required, this could include roles such as IT project management, product owner, solution architect, business analyst, consulting, or similar positions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across different business lines and locations globally.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and conflict resolution is beneficial.
  • Experience working and leading teams across multiple global locations
  • 10+ years in IT with a knack for leading transformative projects.
  • 5+ years experience in business change management.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
  • BRMP® or CBRM® certification.
