Summary:

We are looking for a Director of Sustainability to lead a world class sustainability program to further improve the organization´s impact to the environment by executing and defining vision, strategy, and methodologies that incorporate sustainability elements. The role is also responsible for our integrated ESG strategy, driving and monitoring progress on defined sustainability objectives, communicating accomplishments to stakeholders, managing the organization’s sustainability reporting under applicable regimes, and building an awareness and culture of sustainability.

This position is primarily remote and global in reach.

Salary range is $152,600 - $280,000.

This position, if performed in Colorado, will not be paid below any applicable local minimum wage.

Essential Functions:

Drive, execute, and continuously improve a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with the organization’s goals, collaborating with Rogers’ internal functions.

Analyze projects to determine feasibility and financial impact; oversee budgets and timelines.

Lead specific sustainability projects that leverage expertise and skills within the organization to meet Rogers’ sustainability targets and deliver strategic results.

Spearhead cross-functional sustainability governance structure.

Accountable to measure, monitor, and report progress towards Rogers’ sustainability goals, performance metrics, and initiatives undertaken to internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership team and the company’s Board of Directors.

Influence and drive a sustainability culture.

Engage with stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and other parties to strengthen and promote Rogers’ sustainability efforts.

Work with Investor Relations and reporting/rating agencies to communicate the company’s sustainability priorities, programming, and progress.

Partner with Rogers’ Business Units to respond to inquiries from customers and other third parties requesting information regarding Rogers’ sustainability goals and initiatives.

Develop and implement companywide training initiatives and internal sustainability intranet site.

Lead external reporting process for sustainability in accordance with applicable regimes globally, partnering with other functions to ensure compliance through data collection and accurate reporting.

Stay abreast of best practices, relevant legislation, stakeholder expectations, and evolving ESG trends to best support the organization's sustainability strategy; provide related updates and policy recommendations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, or related field.

8-10+ years of relevant experience, with 5+ years of experience in sustainability.

Demonstrated track record of integrating sustainability and ESG initiatives and strategy across an organization; familiarity with standards relating to EPA/Energy Star, recycling, sustainable sourcing, and water stewardship.

Deep understanding of sustainability principles, frameworks, and reporting standards; working knowledge of CSRD, GRI, CDP, IIRC, SASB, UNGC, SBTi, SEC Climate Disclosure Rules, and other broadly recognized regimes.

High degree of intellectual curiosity; flexibility and motivation to learn and keep abreast of emerging trends and best practices.

Strong understanding of sustainability drivers and key metrics. Experience developing and implementing methodologies to calculate finished product greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for customer Scope 3 analyses preferred.

Knowledge of environmental and social sustainability practices in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

Team player with ability to collaborate effectively with others, despite geographical separation and including in stressful situations, and to leverage/maintain relationships at all levels.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially crucial for remote interactions.

Highly organized with attention to detail.

Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive attitude and desire to achieve goals.

Ability to work independently and effectively manage work schedule and deadlines while working from home.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on strategy.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Travel: Up to 20%.
