Sales Executive – Home Based – ARD1035308

We’re on the hunt for a talented Sales Executive to join our team at Geo Underwriting. This pivotal role, reporting to our Development Director, offers the flexibility of being home based. You will be responsible for contacting our Insurance Brokers agencies mainly by phone, promoting and discussing our Commercial MGA products, build strong relationships and maximise account value. You will also play a key role in onboarding new brokers and collaborating with our underwriters to drive business growth.

As the UK Commercial MGA for Ardonagh Advisory; a Gold rated Investor in Customer insurance business Geo specialise in Agriculture, Construction, Property, Liability, Marine and Protection lines, and home to top brands such as Thames Underwriting, Rural and Bravo Networks Underwriting, and continue to see successful growth both organically and through considered acquisition.

So, what does the role of a Sales Executive here involve?

Responsibilities

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your line manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following:

  • Outbound calling to both new prospects and existing customers.
  • Identify all available opportunity for business growth.
  • Follow up on leads and prospecting opportunities to drive new business.
  • Arrange visits for external Development Functions and Trading/Development Underwriters.
  • Gather and use broker information to actively develop a sales pipeline.
  • Support the creation of marketing initiatives and campaigns to generate leads into our Underwriting team.
  • Provide regular updates on broker growth deals.
  • Assist our New Business Underwriters in meeting budget goals.
  • Coordinate training sessions between brokers and underwriters to align on product needs.
  • Deliver reports on broker accounts and new business activities to achieve targets.
  • Manage and report on campaigns aimed at driving new business.
  • Oversee TOBA management and support new broker onboarding.

What are we looking for in our next Sales Executive?

  • Previous experience of making outbound sales calls.
  • A strong sales background.
  • Preferably ACII-qualified or making progress towards this qualification.
  • An understanding of Commercial Insurance products.
  • Experience of working with brokers.
  • Experience of supporting proposition development, in respect to products, services and/or client servicing propositions.
  • A confident public speaker, excellent presentation skills with an engaging style and confident presenting to audiences of different sizes.
