Job description

Role Summary

Our client is looking for an International Sales Development Representative who will report to the Senior International Sales Manager and will support North American manufacturing clients and international customers. This position will have a close interaction with sales and marketing executives, including international sales offices, as well as operations and administration.

WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (11:00 PM – 8:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

Essential Functions

  • Research various import procedures, packaging guidelines, and regulations in a large variety of countries worldwide
  • Ensure that export sales are managed in compliance with US and international regulation
  • Drive weekly lead generation to build a network of international customers
  • Develop a database and perform data entry
  • Contribute to building the world’s leading database for the global food, beverage, and nutrition industry
  • Support sales managers and directors in business development and global sales which includes updating and preparing sales reports and conducting initial outreach to new leads
  • Ensure consistent application of client brand guidelines across our global markets
  • Conduct appropriate market research in the United States and foreign countries to understand various food, beverage, nutrition, and consumer goods categories and competitors
  • Maintain internal tools and technology and propose solutions to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate effectively across the company and gain a deep understanding of international customer needs to increase sales and distribution globally

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in the related field is preferred
  • Sales and/or customer service experience
  • Food, beverage, or consumer goods work experience would be valuable, with an articulated desire to build world-class food, beverage, nutrition, and consumer goods brands
  • Background in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturing, preferably with sales, account management, supply chain, customer service, and/or inside sales responsibilities
  • Knowledge of export processes, purchasing, and packaging regulations for food and beverage products is helpful but not required
  • Thorough understanding of export documentation, international sales and marketing, and correspondence required in various markets would be helpful for this role, although not required
  • Experience with food manufacturing, ingredients, and technical issues would be beneficial, but also not required
  • Knowledge of foreign import regulations and requirements would be helpful
  • Demonstrated ability to work with business executives of foreign cultures
  • Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications
  • Strong organization, oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
  • Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
