We are looking to recruit a full-time
HR Administrator to join the team in the
Technical Services Division, supporting over 2,000 employees. The role would suit someone with strong administrative experience who enjoys working in a people-focused and fast-paced office environment. Experience as a HR Administrator, People Advisor or Coordinator would be desirable, although transferable skill will be considered if you are starting your HR journey.
Ideally you will be based close to either our
Cheshire or
Bristol office to attend meetings, training, and undertake office-based tasks, although we are open to someone working remotely with ad-hoc office attendance, along with business unit visits and team meetings. In the beginning, there will be a requirement to attend more frequently to ensure training requirements are met. This is a varied role with opportunities for progression.
HR Administration responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate and manage all HR administration for the full employee life cycle.
- Manage and support with the administration of several HR processes including but not limited to RTW checks, DBS and clearance checks, maternity and paternity, absence management and leavers processes, changes to Terms and Conditions of Employment, increase/bonus and promotion letters.
- Regularly updating the HR system, intranet and personnel files.
- Responding to HR system queries, escalating where appropriate
- Ensure the system is up to date in preparation for payroll cut off
- Assisting on ad hoc projects as required
Recruitment Administration responsibilities:
- Arranging interviews via the recruitment portal
- Producing and issuing job offers
- Uploading new starter details on the relevant HR systems
- Filing new starter paperwork
- Undertaking reference checks
- Recruitment administration
- Assisting on ad hoc projects as required
In addition to your normal duties, you may occasionally be required to undertake additional work necessary to meet the needs of the business, without additional remuneration.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs grade C or above or equivalent (including Maths & English)
- Proficient with Microsoft Word
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to take initiative when required
- Professional, proactive approach
- Capable of handling sensitive information confidentially and with discretion
- Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Adaptable, work effectively under pressure, to strict deadlines, prioritising with a flexible approach
