Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits is seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing Insights & Analytics. This role involves analyzing brand performance and ensuring strategies are grounded in consumer and commercial insights. The Senior Manager will lead brand performance reviews and identify risks and opportunities based on market dynamics, consumer behavior, retailer nuances, and competitive threats. They will collaborate with the channel marketing team to create selling stories that highlight our competitive advantage and develop compelling programs that influence consumers. This is a remote position that reports to the Director of Commercial Insights.
Responsibilities:
- Thought Leadership and Performance Management:
- Equip Marketing with data-driven insights that guide strategic decisions, ensuring commercial viability.
- Serve as the primary contact for all inquiries related to brand performance, requiring regular communication and collaboration with brand teams.
- Lead monthly and quarterly discussions with marketing to review category, brand, and competitive performance to identify risks and explore opportunities. Manage ad hoc “deep dive” requests.
- Oversee and report on depletion performance versus plan, emphasizing key risks and opportunities. Provide insights to inform both short-term and long-term brand strategies.
- Analyze large datasets to explain complex business challenges and present solutions in a clear, visually appealing format.
- Sales Collateral:
- Distill marketing initiatives into clear, actionable stories aligned with our commercial objectives.
- Provide insights to create fact-based rationale to garner support for our brands in Off Premise channels.
- Collaborate with commercial marketing on sell sheets, programming presentations, and other Tools of the Trade deliverables.
- Commercialize our core selling stories across the sales organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in syndicated data analysis within a consumer products organization; Bev Alc preferred.
- Expert knowledge of Circana/Nielsen syndicated and Consumer Panel and/or Numerator data.
- Ability to analyze, interpret and apply syndicated data to support targeted business plans and drive actionable solutions. Proficiency in data extraction, analysis, and presentation creation/delivery is a must.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, coupled with strong presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to tell a story with data.
- Commercial experience/exposure to sales organization to support sales efforts with selling tools.
- Outstanding leadership skills; ability to use influence to build consensus across both leaders and peers.
- Effective multi-tasking and project management skills with the ability to develop, negotiate and manage project scope, timeline, work plan, and deliverable for on time delivery in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly self-motivated and results-driven with strong business acumen, curiosity, attention to detail and the ability to identify issues/opportunities for improvement and be proactive in addressing them.
- Expert Excel and PowerPoint Skills.
