Our Client – Our Client is a world-leading provider of technology-enabled language, content, and intellectual property services. Through content transformation and multilingual data analysis, their unique combination of technology and cultural expertise helps their clients to grow by ensuring they are understood anywhere, in any language.   


The Position

With the recent creation of the Global Content Services business, an amalgamation of Our Client’s Strategic Solutions Group (SSG) and Intellectual Property Solutions (IPS) we are seeking to appoint a new position on the leadership team of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) / Chief Growth Officer (CGO). 

Together with leadership team, the CRO/CGO will be instrumental in the creation of a single strategic revenue plan that will define and align worldwide sales with product development, marketing, branding and partnerships strategy that drives profitable growth and executes against it to ensure they achieve their business objectives. 

Total combined revenue for Global Content Services is c£275m with this role having responsibility for a significant portion coupled with new business revenue.

The new combined sales structure will consolidate the existing sales structures to 5 direct reports with c60 Sales positions, plus inside sales, for the combined SSG and IP Services business across 17 countries globally.

The Strategic Solutions Group (SSG) works closely with major accounts and clients of all sizes who are going global with specialized localization services. These services cover the entire localization spectrum, from translating content, media, and audio to creating engaging eLearning programs and transcreating highly impactful marketing campaigns. The SSG works closely with Our Client’s Language experience Delivery (LXD) platform, which includes 2,000 in-house linguists, and a network of more than 29,000 translators, who use Our Client’s proprietary machine translation, AI, and translation productivity tools, to deliver a 24/7 service to clients.

 

IP Solutions (IPS) is the world’s leading provider of intellectual property support services. With over 60 years of experience, our leadership in high quality patent translations, foreign filing and IP research services is unrivalled. Combining expert patent translators and advanced technology ensure translations of the highest consistency and quality. We help streamline client's internal processes, providing flexible, cost-effective foreign filing services reducing the administrative burden associated with protecting IP on a global scale. We also offer the widest range of IP research services and the leading patent research database. Our Client’s clients include many of the world's best-known brands, and 18 out of 20 of the world’s largest patent filers. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

§  Develop and execute a comprehensive global revenue strategy aligned with Our Client’s and the business objectives and growth targets.

§  In collaboration with the leadership team, drive revenue goals, forecast performance, and develop actionable plans to achieve them.

§  Integrate the SSG and IP Services business into a cohesive organisation and culture which is built around value-based sales and customer outcomes.

§  Implement strong sales process and discipline to enable greater predictability and forecast accuracy.

§  Continually push into the Enterprise segment using a land-and-expand sales approach.

§  Drive CXO level engagement within the customer organisation using Our Client’s market leading AI solutions.

§  Enhance, lead and mentor the sales leadership team, ensuring alignment with revenue goals and optimizing performance.

§  Oversee the sales process, including new customer acquisition, retention, and expansion, and implement best practices to drive revenue growth.

§  Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategies that align with revenue objectives, ensuring a consistent brand message and customer engagement.

§  Contribute data and market insights to refine marketing strategies, optimize lead generation, and enhance customer acquisition efforts and efficiency.

§  Develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

§  Oversee the drive of successful onboarding, adoption and overall customer engagement to maximize customer lifetime value.

§  Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances that can contribute to revenue growth and expand market reach.

§  Negotiate and manage partnerships to drive revenue, increase brand visibility, and unlock new business opportunities.

§  Utilise key performance metrics and data-driven insights to assess revenue performance, track progress against targets, and optimize strategies accordingly.

§  Implement reporting mechanisms to provide regular updates on revenue performance to the executive team and stakeholders.



Requirements

Candidate Competencies

§  Demonstrable experience of diverse international leadership roles, driving and implementing revenue growth within the technology services, content or digital markets.

§  Proven track record of growing revenue through building significant revenue streams, building and running global accounts, establishing and growing alliances/partnerships.

§  Proven leadership qualities: demonstrable ability to drive organisational change using a data driven approach to commercial growth.

§  Experience of leading a business with multiple product/service lines and variety of selling motions.

§  Deep expertise in selling complex multi-$million deals to Enterprise customers while also having deep understanding of mid-market sales with an ASP of c$500K.

§  Proven experience of implementing land-and-expand sales methodologies to drive new logo sales and cross-sell/upsell opportunities within the installed base.

§  Strong international credentials; ideally has experience of selling in Europe and North America.

§  Ability to craft and execute a business strategy effectively.

§  Experience in making decisions based on business metrics.

§  Inspirational leadership style which fosters collaboration to maximise revenue opportunities. 

§  Strong technical experience with sales and business productivity tools.

§  Can inspire colleagues & player coach leadership style: Proven ability to articulate a vision and mobilise an international, multi-cultural team around that vision.
